Design with Nature
ACTANT FOREST is a design research collective based in a 13,000 square meter forest at the foot of the Southern Alps, two hours from Tokyo. The concept is "Design with Nature”. We are engaged in a variety of research and media practices to create a new framework for multi-species design, while utilizing the design knowledge gained from urban life and the wisdom of the wild cultivated in the forest. The members' expertise is diverse, ranging from service design, architecture, graphics, and biology, including design researchers working in the Netherlands.
